ProfileIQ ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered resume scoring and rewriting tool at profileiq.co.in. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

In short: we collect your account details, the resume and job description text you submit, and payment details needed to process subscriptions. We use trusted third-party processors (Anthropic for AI analysis, Supabase for storage, Razorpay for payments) — we don't sell your data, and resume content is used only to generate your analysis.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely via our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password).

Resume and job description content: the resume file and job description text you upload or paste, so we can generate a compatibility score, keyword analysis, and (for Pro users) an AI-rewritten version.

Payment information: for Pro subscriptions, payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves — Razorpay handles this in compliance with RBI and PCI-DSS standards, and shares with us only your subscription status and transaction reference.

Usage data: basic activity such as scan counts and timestamps, used to enforce free-plan limits and improve the product.

Support communications: if you contact support, we retain your email and message to respond to your request.

2. How we use your information

To generate resume scores, keyword matches, and AI-rewritten content
To create and manage your account and subscription
To process payments and renewals
To respond to support requests
To send essential account and billing emails (e.g. password resets, payment confirmations)

We do not use your resume content for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Third-party service providers

We rely on the following processors to operate ProfileIQ. Each has its own privacy practices, and your data is shared with them only as needed to provide the service:

Anthropic (Claude API) — processes your resume and job description text to generate scores, suggestions, and rewrites.
Supabase — handles authentication and stores your account and profile data.
Razorpay — processes subscription payments.
Resend — delivers transactional emails (e.g. password resets, support notifications).

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Resume and job description content submitted for analysis is retained only as needed to provide the current session's results and is not used to train AI models. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

5. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing via Razorpay. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access.

6. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time by signing in, or by contacting us directly. You may also request a copy of the data we hold about you.

7. Children's privacy

ProfileIQ is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
